Description

This program combines the study of biochemistry, biological analysis and the practical application of pharmacology. Students learn about the composition of living beings, the functioning of biological systems, and the synthesis and design of drugs to treat diseases. This enables them to actively participate in the health team of the National Health System (NHS) and in the food industry.

The learning environments are equipped with laboratories for physics, chemistry, biology, parasitology, hematology, immunology, molecular biology, clinical and food analysis, among others. Students can undertake pre-professional internships at the Public Health Clinical Laboratory and carry out research and thesis projects

in the Department of Biosciences, as well as at the University of Cuenca’s Orchidarium. Additionally, there are agreements with public and private institutions, such as laboratories, pharmacies, and food industries, enabling students to develop their skills in real-world settings.
